Searching for Tomorrow's Stock Market Winners Today

I have to sell Travelzoo (TZOO) from the Growth Portfolio today. TZOO keeps lowering profit estimates because Local Deals are weak.

MasterCard (MA) is touching $400. Although the company just went from rapid-profit-growth to moderate-profit-growth, $500 and $600 look to be on the horizon.

Double digit same store sales continue to fuel Chipotle’s (CMG) run. Now profit growth is set to accelerate too. Still, CMG is high. I wouldn’t buy.

Everything’s cranking at Green Mountain Coffee (GMCR) — brewer sales, K-Cup sales, royalties, profit margins and most importantly profits.

Just before Apple (AAPL) reported last quarter’s earnings, the stock was $420. Now it’s pushed through $500 and could make a parabolic move.

Amazon.com (AMZN) lowered earnings estimates once again. Whew, the numbers are almost all red. This stock is a speculative investment for now.

Netflix (NFLX) has been on a tear higher because it stopped loosing customers (as I knew it would). Where’s the stock headed? Your guess is as good as mine.

VMWave (VMW) doesn’t have a catalyst to move the stock higher. Take profits when VMW goes over $100 a share. This stock is basing.

Intuitive Surgical (ISRG) is on a streak of raising 2012 estimates. This is the third straight quarter 2012 estimates jumped by almost 50 cents.

I wish Google (GOOG) was more dependable. The stock will be sold from the Aggressive Growth Portfolio today. I’ll hold GOOG in the Growth Portfolio cuz its a good value.

Facebook is going public in one of the most heavily anticipated IPOs since Google. Facebook’s stock symbol will be FB. Here’s my take on the stock…

The recent tape action shows the market could still go lower, but with the market selling at around 10 times earnings, this is an opportunistic time to buy if you’re a Warren Buffett mini-me.

Apple (AAPL) almost doubled profits last quarter — crushing analyst estimates along the way. This stock should have a P/E of 35 and instead its 14. The pressure is building. The levee has to break.

Fueled by a plethora of hot stocks, the Growth Portfolio rose 17% last quarter. The Aggressive Growth Portfolio did even better — jumping 24%.
